Club History
The Rotary Club of Montebello was chartered February 2, 1924. The Club was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Whittier. The Club has been involved with many international projects particularly in Baja California enjoying close ties with the Rotary Club of Ensenada and Tijuana.
The Rotary Club of Montebello sponsors the George R. Hensel Ethics Essays contest. Rotarians George and Bernadette Hensel fully endowed the contest via District 5300. The District Chairperson is always a Rotarian for Montebello. Students win $4500 is prizes each year.
