Rotary Rotaplast Program
by
Monzon, Robert

 District Governor Roger
Schulte has challenged all District 5300 Club Presidents to participate
in a large international project this year. Club President Robert
Monzon has pledged a total of five rotaplast
surgeries for this year.
District 5300 met the challenge by pledging to complete 89 rotaplast surgeries in the 2010/2011 year. Our
support for District Governor Roger Schulte has come out strong.
We'll be collecting funds for the Montebello Rotary Club pledge of $2,500
which will provide five surgeries to be done to five deserving families
in San Salvador in April of 2011.
We'll be passing around a smile basket that Rotarians will be asked to
donate money to every week until we have reached our goal. Please
donate regularly and give as much as possible to help us reach our goal!!

Who is Jack
Hamm...
by
Robert Monzon
So, every week we hear the
beautiful live music coming from the piano at the meeting room at the
Quiet Cannon. We can always count on Jack Hamm to be there and
entertain us. So, do you want to know a little bit more about Jack?
Jack Hamm is not only our piano player he is a graduate of North Texas
State, and has a Masters Degree at Cal Poly. Jack taught Elementary
School Music for 28 years at the Covina School District. He joined
the United States Air Force in 1951 as a Pianist.
He organized a Musician's Tour Group to tour Asia and the US in the
1960's for 10 years. He is currently a Pianist for Nordstroms and several restaurants in and around
Southern California. Next time you see Jack Hamm playing the piano
at our club meeting, shake his hand and thank him for the great music and
his life long dedication to music.

Welcome to our new club runner!
by Robert Monzon

We are all excited and
anxious to see how Club Runner will revolutionize the way we manage our
day to day club activities, as well as communicate more effectively.
Club Runner is a database-backed membership communication tool.
It is accessible by all club members, it allows us to communicate much
more effectively, as well as saves all of us valuable time. For
example we can now do Online registrations for events and
volunteer activities, automatic email services, and an integrated e-Bulletin,
among other features, that makes it easy to promote our club's activities.
The website features easy to use content management tools, where
you don't need to know HTML or FTP to update it. Accessible by any club
member with a browser and Internet connection, it stays current with less
effort. Club Members responsible for Bulletin Announcements,
or Presenter Recap, or Fines, can now access the Bulletin directly from
the Club Runner.
