Meeting

Robert Monzon reminded us to "Press the Flesh" and "ask" for support of this year's Rotary Golf Tournament set for May 14, 2010.  It was announced that Cook Hill will be the Golf Tournament Cart Sponsors.

Kathy announced that the Montebello Teachers Assn. will be a $500.00 sponsor.  Mayor Bill Molinari pledged $500.00 to the golf tournament because of the activities that the proceeds funds, like the 16 high school students going to RYLA.

Rich Meadows reminded us to feed the polio pig even though we have reached our club's goal of $1,000.00.

Ted Jones announced that between May 17-21, 2010 the GSE (Group Study Exchange) team will be visiting us from Brazil. Anyone who can assist with providing temporary limited housing for some of the team members should contact Ted Jones

RAFFLE

For the second week in a row, Helio won the $10 raffle.  For the second week in a row he gently placed the $10.00 into the polio pig.  Can Helio set a club record and win a third week in a row?  We will see. What made winning this week's raffle difficult was that at the last minute Chris gave each of the 15 RYLA students present one raffle ticket. Despite this increasing of the odds, Helio still managed to win.

helio_raffleCongratulations Helio!!!!

Helio also won a spot on next years Board  of Director's   as  our  new President Elect.
