On Decemeber 30, 2009, a dinner held by the Rotary Rose Parade Float Committee was held at the University Club in Pasadena, The guest of honor was R. I. President John Kinney. Representing Montebello Rotary were Robert Monzon, Ted Jones, Richard Reyes and Ilma Avila.







On December 27, 2009 45 members of the interact clubs from Montebello and Schurr High Schools helped decorate the award winning Rotary International Rose Parade Float at Brookside Park in Pasadena.  The kids started at 4 p.m. and left about 10:45 p.m. Thanks to AJ for arranging transportation for the group and thanks to Chris Robles who organized the interact groups' participation in this yearly event.

The Golf Committee for this year's annual tournament is being formed. The date of the golf tournament is 5/7/10.
 
The weekend of January 9, 2010 is the date set for the Ensenada and Tiauana international service events. About 900 bags of food and blankets were scheduled to be given to those in need.

Rotarians from the Vista and Avalon Rotary Clubs were scheduled to partipicate.  Ted Jones was scheduled to be one of the three wise men at the Tijuana Club's  celebration of the day of the "Three Kings".
 
Richard Adams, filling in for Rich Meadows, announced that the Polio Pig has been fed about $600.00 or 60% of it's goal to help in Polio eradication.  
 
This quarter's billing statements should be sent out sometime next week.
